Azerbaijan reveals volume of gas transported via Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipeline

In January–March of this year, 10,764.6 million cubic meters of gas were transported via main gas pipelines in Azerbaijan and 3.3% decrease compared to the corresponding figure of the previous year was observed, the State Statistical Committee told APA.

50.6% of the gas transportation was carried out through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline.

Gas produced from the Shah Deniz gas-condensate field is exported through this pipeline

Thus, during the reporting period, 5,447.9 million cubic meters of gas were transported through this pipeline (a 2.4% decrease).

Recall that last year, 40,348.3 million cubic meters of gas were transported via main gas pipelines in Azerbaijan, 2.7% increase compared to the previous year was observed. 56.6% of the gas transportation was carried out through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline. During the reporting period, 22,851.9 million cubic meters of gas were transported through this pipeline, which is a 4.3% increase year-on-year.
